Join us on tour and experience PBO on the road! See how audiences react to Nic and our musicians in other cities and extraordinary venues. Over the years, many patrons have joined us near and far and we encourage you to come along.

Longtime friend and board member Marie Collins says,

There’s nothing like hearing the orchestra perform in other places. You’ll experience incredible music and make new friends. I hosted a post-concert reception in New York last August and I met people I am still in touch with today.”

Call Noelle Moss at (415) 252-1288 x 314 or

La Gloria di Primavera goes to Tanglewood!

August 25
Ozawa Hall, Tanglewood Music Festival

shutterstock_Ozawa HallHear Scarlatti’s operatic masterpiece, La gloria di primavera, at the popular Tanglewood Music Festival this summer. Nic McGegan and the Orchestra reprise the U.S. premiere performance with the original cast of guest artists in Lenox Massachussetts in August. The historically-informed performance of this lavish and complex serenata by Italy’s premier 18th century opera composer Alessandro Scarlatti received rave reviews in the New York Times and the Orange County Register. Written to celebrate the birth of a Habsburg prince in 1716, the piece was performed only a few times to adoring audiences of the time but regrettably forgotten. Until now.

PBO at the Norfolk Shed

August 27
Norfolk Chamber Music Festival

Norfolk Music ShedNic and the Orchestra return for their third year at the Norfolk Chamber Music Festival in Norfolk Connecticut on August 27. PBO will perform in the charming Norfolk Festival Music Shed – a converted structure originally built in the 1890s. The program  includes a mix of orchestral works and arias sung by mezzo-soprano Diana Moore including the commission Red, Red Rose by Caroline Shaw which premiered during PBO’s May tour at Disney Hall in Los Angeles. The Norfolk Chamber Music Festival was introduced to PBO by board member David Low and his wife Dominique Lahaussois, residents of San Francisco and Norfolk. The Orchestra’s appearances at Norfolk are made possible in part by David and Dominique and they always throw a great post-concert bash at their “barn!”
