EVENT DESCRIPTION

Philharmonia returns with electrifying performances of Mozart and TchaikovskySensational piano duo Alexandra Nepomnyashchaya and Richard Egarr will perform an Andante from Mozart’s Sonata for Piano Four-Hands in F Major followed by Tchaikovsky’s powerful Symphony No. 4, “Fate Symphony” — brilliantly arranged by Tchaikovsky’s friend and colleague Sergei Taneyev. Richard and Alex will perform the program on a gorgeous Bechstein piano from 1860. Both works are monumental: Mozart in its “Romantic” canvas, Tchaikovsky in just about every way!
