Apply for FREE student tickets to our performances!

The Student Access Initiative (SAI) was established in the 2005-2006 concert season to provide opportunities for students to experience great musical performances.

The program:

  • Provides access to Philharmonia Baroque concerts and offers quality musical experiences to new audiences;
  • Provides a meaningful, direct way for the Orchestra to support both social needs and the cultural life of the Bay Area.

While most of Philharmonia’s education events are absolutely free to partnering institutions, the Orchestra also offers students and teachers complimentary access to our subscription concerts. Subject to ticket availability, we invite our education partners in schools grades K-12, post-secondary schools, community centers, and adult continuing education programs to apply for complimentary seats. Students under 18 years of age must be accompanied by one responsible adult, who will also be granted admission free of charge.

In February, March, and April, a limited number of complimentary Philharmonia Baroque concert tickets will be available to our SAI partners as follows:

All Mozart with Kristian Bezuidenhout
Wednesday, February 3rd, 7:30 p.m. — First United Methodist Church, Palo Alto
Friday, February 5th, 8:00 p.m. — Herbst Theatre, San Francisco

Explore Baroque Europe

Please note that availability is LIMITED, and a completed application does not guarantee the applicant tickets.  Once you receive a confirmation email (within 3 business days of your request), complimentary tickets will be reserved at Will Call up to one half hour at the venue before the concert begins. Student IDs will be required for SAI tickets.
