SAN FRANCISCO – Philharmonia Baroque Orchestra & Chorale (PBO) will present a very special concert on Thursday, February 11, at Herbst Theatre to celebrate the 30th Anniversary of Nicholas McGegan as music director.
Renowned mezzo-soprano Susan Graham will join the festivities as McGegan and the orchestra present some of Handel’s most beloved, and celebratory works. Hear arias from Handel’s “Ariodante” and “Xerxes” as well as Water Music in D Major, and Music for the Royal Fireworks.
Philharmonia’s “Baroque Fireworks” concert with Susan Graham will also be presented on February 12th at the Mondavi Center at UC Davis and on February 14th at Weill Concert Hall at the Green Music Center at Sonoma State.
