Philharmonia Baroque Gala 2026 Honoring Nicholas McGegan
A benefit for Philharmonia Baroque artistic and community engagement & learning programs
Join us as we celebrate Music Director Emeritus Nicholas McGegan with a Lifetime Achievement Award in honor of his 35 years of service. During his three and a half decades of artistic leadership, Nic transformed the American early music landscape and inspired countless musicians worldwide.
This isn’t just another fundraiser—it’s a historic celebration of one of classical music’s most beloved figures. This Gala is a chance to welcome Nic back to Philharmonia with his new title—Music Director Emeritus—and a wonderful way to acknowledge his remarkable musical legacy.
About the 2026 Gala
The Philharmonia Baroque Gala is a benefit for Philharmonia Baroque’s artistic and community engagement and learning programs with the goal of advancing the art form of Baroque music in the Bay Area and beyond. The ensemble has been in existence for 44 years and has inspired audiences from around the world with traditional and innovative Baroque and Classical music programs, in the form of concerts and auxiliary programs and events. Each gift is tax deductible.
Proceeds from Philharmonia Baroque Orchestra & Chorale’s Gala go towards the support of the orchestra’s performances, community engagement & learning programs, and overall operations, ensuring the continuation of its mission to present and preserve early music with period instruments.
