Artist Salon: Handel’s Tolomeo

Philharmonia Baroque’s Artist Salons are pre-concert talks led by performers, scholars, and guest artists. Offered prior to each concert set, they give audiences historical and cultural context in an engaging setting. Free and open to the public, the series is designed to deepen your connection to the music.
In this Artist Salon, acclaimed soprano Céline Ricci leads a panel discussion about Philharmonia’s upcoming production of Handel’s Tolomeo. Music Director Peter Whelan and key members of the creative team for this semi-staged opera production will guide attendees through the historical context around Tolomeo as well as their unique interpretation of this rarely-heard gem from Handel’s body of operatic work.
The evening concludes with an informal meet & greet, offering a chance to engage directly with the artists.
