This program pairs music of reflection and renewal from 17th- and 18th-century Europe with enduring African American spirituals, showing how music across centuries connects us through strength and shared humanity. Philharmonia Baroque performs on period instruments under conductor Christine Brandes, with countertenor Reginald Mobley bringing heart and expressive power.
